Light & Dark (2026)

This work responds to the theme of Light and Dark in nature.  The images depict environmental scenes where part of what we see is apparently torn away to reveal its inverse underneath.  This approach examines what we consider to be light and dark, positive and negative, good and bad, by exploiting a feature of the traditional analogue photograph.  The viewer is left to decide for themselves how what they see relates to these perspectives.  The work was made in Photoshop using layers to create the composite and torn paper effect.
